I was thoroughly impressed with CIV. Their skill levels, confidence on the ball, ability to create and exploit space was all top notch. More importantly, they are attack oriented and are playing African football unlike what happened in 2010 when they tried to play European football. As I have said many times, you cannot beat Europeans at their own game.
Had it not been for that really good Japanese goalie, CIV would have scored two more goals. Cameroon should watch that CIV game and hung their heads in shame.
I was a bit dissapointed with Gervinho. His decision making and selfishness still persists. On that breakway, he should have given the ball to the wide open Bonny to his right. Instead he went for glory.
