I did not like this idea of having the paybill on the jerseys it looked kinda too desperate.

That is not even half of a single ticket in European leagues

I still prefer watching it on telly. The replays make it enjoyable. Meru town has adopted Tusker fully. The fans there know the players by name(both Tusker and AFC). Of course there is still some ignorance like somebody asked why Tusker were given a trophy 'kikombe ni ya nini?' I overheard another being explained to that Kenya does actually have a league and he quipped 'haiya, kumbe kenya imeendelea hivyo?'. All in all, I think outside Luo and Luhya communities, there is little understanding of local football. After Tusker won, AFC fans taunted the Meru fans who were chanting 'tusker na veve'. They reminded them that none of them had tusker jerseys while most AFC fans had AFC colours. And other hard truths like the fans in Meru would never travel to Nairobi to support their team! Or the fact that there was no local in the Tusker team
