So far 4 groups have played their 1st matches and no boring 0-0 draws. May it continue in the same vein.

yeah, but Aurier was man o' the match!!

This guy will be a very good replacement for Sagna, time for Wenger to wrap up the deal. I think Costa Rica's Campbell should also be brought back, he's now ready for the EPL.

were the work permit issues for Campbell sorted? What made it hard for him to get a work permit? But he'd be a good addition esp coz of his age

I was surprised to see Rooney playing from the left against Italy...Hodgson must have been smoking a fat one when he made that decision. Still,he lacked composure in front of goal. Shocking he is yet to score a goal in 3 world cups now! Raheem Sterling is definitely the future for England but I'll feel nothing to see them exit in the first round

Candreva really impressed me and Pirlo's dummy on Sturridge was imperious!

After that shocker by Costa Rica,am tempted to revise my predictions.

Ivory Coast should now qualify for the knock out stage, didn't know Boni is Ivorian, the guy is dangerous in the air. That right back Airier is definitely one to watch.

Very good games so far,

To be eligible for a work permit a player must have played for his country in at least 75% of its team matches and his country must be at or above 70th place in the official FIFA world rankings.....Campbell had not played enough games for Costa Rica! He received his work permit last year but Wenger didn't think he was ready for the EPL.

asante Taz, but if the country must be above No 70, why was our Big Vic Wanyama allowed?

Very good games so far,

I had to check again if it really was you. Bony is Ivorian, I don't know how you missed that.

That Costa Rica match was the second shocker after Spain were taken to the Hague.

BBI will solve it
