At this rate I think i need to start planning a holiday to shagz in Uganda starting 4/7/2014! Sad

I can't be trapped here again PEV style!

Leave the idlers to do as they please.I can bet half of those planning to attend will be most affected as I don't see their leaders offering them protection/shelter or bread if they decide to throw stones.
The leader's life/family comes first.
While their kids will be enjoying football on big screens and sipping margarita, poor folks will be shouting themselves hoarse under the scorching sun or freezing temp.and on empty tummies.
I cannot boost my leader's self ego/career by risking my life cz I stand to lose ALL while he stands to gain little.
What's worse? the same 'perceived enemies' transact biz in high end hotels whose names their followers can't even pronounce.
Their kids attend the same schools bearing heavy names and eat courses not meals.
They are dropped/picked/flown and will never mingle with their follower's ooor kids.

Whose rights are we fighting for?
All these fellows have been in goverment. What did they implement in their capacity as leaders to help the poor folks other than fatten their accounts? When the eating taps are sealed we scream oppression. What misuse of followers to satisfy self egos.
Kenyan Leaders just disgust me cz they are recycled hypocrites with never ending dreams of 'liberation' which they can never bring because they don't care about the nation but their pockets.

So go on Mr.follower whose most priced posession is a stone,a foreign flag and a voice.
Spend a whole day shouting hoarse, throw sand and tissue to relieve tension/express disgust and lose day's income. We don't care,we will be selling tomatoes.
Their's no comfort in masses. You are on your poor own at the end of the day and your leader doesn't give a damn whether you eat or not.

If political parties were gods, some people would sacrifice their families on their altars.

Wacheni ujinga. The day is 22 days away, surely you can start asking for a day off now. It is not like tomorrow, there is enough time to ask for leave, you can have a long weekend, and why not you can reach UG as @guru says.

I predict Jubilee will not agree to dialogue before 7/7. Then CORD will fry themselves. There is likely to be public backlash and condemnation. I highly doubt this is planned to be a one day affair. Kenyans have so much to lose, and I predict a swift backlash.

If RAO goes Machar's way (how, I dont know) I pity him. Hapa S Sudan the Nuers are dying like flies in IDP camps coz most of them were displaced when the govt took the war to the rebels.. Nuer towns are completely rampaged. They survive purely on UNMISS handouts and livestock.

The simmering hatred will take over 10 years maybe. Machar started very popular but today nobody wants him other than his community

Dinkas were tired of the illiterate Kiir, and a huge number actually supported Machar. But now they vow to go to the bush should Machar be imposed on them.

I don't know what. is cooking back there but if that is the route they want to take us,, brace yourselves for tough times. No one has a monopoly of violence for a country so evenly polarized like Kenya.

The two proposals that aroused my curiosity were:
• ‘Kenyan’s should not to go to work on 7/7’.
• ‘Uhuru to prepare his head for shaving, seeing that his neighbour (Kiir) has been shaved without water’.
These are not trivial matters. The reason Kenya exploded in 2007/2008 was because govt of the day had failed to deal appropriately or respond to openly Machiavellian class of politicians, these are the same cohorts who have now regrouped. Only that the stakes are higher this time round, and their resolve much higher because:
• Age is catching up. Someone feels 2017 is not worth waiting for, since that is the only remaining chance anyway. 2017 is just too final, it would be ‘better’ to ‘rock the boat’ and create another chance well ahead of 2017.
• Something has been tried before and it ‘worked’. I am talking about the activities of 2005-2007 which led to PEV which then gave birth to nusu mkate.
• We have had recent experience of popular uprising against govt in North Africa, and seems to have ‘worked’. Though if you asked me, those countries are worse off. Jubilee may not me in good books with the West, and someone could exploit this to create trouble, hoping government will respond with a heavy hand and then invite similar reaction from the west.
• The ‘neighbour’ referred to- South Sudan, has been forced by international community to have ‘leader’s dialogue, which is resulting into ‘coalition government’
• Someone has ‘tasted’ nusu mkate in the past and maybe it was sweet
• Someone is idle. An idle mind….
There are not many places in the world where this kind of behaviour attracts any appreciable support. However, in Kenya you cannot fail to get 60,000 people who are very willing to be paraded in national stadiums any time you like for small pay, if only to create the impression desired. Pre and post 7/7 I just somehow hope this negative energy will dissipate naturally into a bottomless pit just like the previous ‘referendum’ debate. But there is reason to keep watch, if history is anything to go by.
