Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun ("Surely we belong to Allah (God Almighty) and to Him shall we return")
Whatever Allah gives or takes belongs to Him and everything is predestined by Him, even the day each one of us will die. Me and you, and sheikh Idris.
"Every soul shall have a taste of death and only on the Day of the Judgement shall you be paid your full recompense. Only those who are saved from the fire and admitted to Paradise (Jannah) will have attained the object (of life). For the life of this world is but good and chattels of deception." (Quran Surah Imran; 3:185)

I'm just wondering, do his murderers also believe they will get those virgins? This was one of the faith's leader. If that is true, then something is very wrong with the teachings. This could be the turning point as I'm sure even the radicals will condemn this. BBI will solve it :)

I note that you are careful not to condemn the actions of the killers. Great men are not always wise, neither do the aged understand judgement...

They have given this man a direct ticket to jannah!!!! The man was going for his morning prayers, which other better way to die!!
Sheikh Mohammed Idris has been imam for the last 30 years. I was so saddened to learn about his death this morning.
Our leaders are killed, the leaders we depend on. And many times "we don't know" who kills them. Why are they killed?
Muslims should come together, make a plea to Allah, in our cries, in our prayers and duas, everyday. And He will protect His deen.
But who are the killers? 1. It could be a hit squad, to scare off Muslim leaders. All the elite leaders and governments have been doing this since time immemorial. They did the same to Jesus (pbuh) and his followers, when they realized his truthful teachings were drawing followers. These people hate truth.
2. It could be "chemist" dealers, from the popular governor in that region. If you mess with his market, trying to bring people back to the sunnah and the teachings of the prophet, then the customers will stop taking haram drugs and the market will shrink!
3. It could be the garment, kill one of their own, one who is not accused of anything. Confuse the masses, make the earlier cases complicated to justify, because how do you explain the current case!
NOTE: We will all die, me and you, and them the killers.

It is clear we don't expect this garment to provide security for all of us. I will always condemn extra-judicial killing, if at all this is one of them. Every citizen of this country must be worried. How do you explain shooting happening in broad daylight, in a convoy of Maina Njenga, and the garment have no clue, and they are not bothered. Does that sound normal to you? But since it is not your son, or your wife or your daughter... then it is okay.
