A man takes his seat at a FIFA World cup final. He looks to his left and notices that there's an empty seat between himself and the next guy.
MAN: "Who would ever miss the FIFA World cup final?"
GUY: "That was my wife's seat.We have been to the last five WORLD CUP finals together, but sadly she passed away."
MAN: "Oh! That's terrible, and very sweet of you to have her here symbolically by having a vacant seat....But these are expensive tickets; couldn't you have brought another family member, friend or someone else with you?"
GUY: No...They are all at her funeral...

Hey all! Since FIFA storm is just about to hit the stadiums at Brazil so are you guys ready? If having hurdle for the live broadcast through TV cable or if you want to enjoy the mega event on your desktop or smartphone but censorship blocked your way. It may also be a case that you are an expat, let say a German living in China and you want the commentary in German language for all such hurdles i have a solution. Believe me i tried it at Sochi and it worked so well for me. I am talking about VPN - no ordinary but PureVPN that offers buffer free streaming and yes one more thing i am leaving a complete guide for all the online broadcaster list for you don't forget to give it a look yeah!

Not going well for stars whose names start with R.. Reus, Ribery. Hope the next wont be Ronaldo and Rooney.

How about a prediction league?

- Each correct prediction is 1 point.
- The prediction is not about goals, but simply about who will make it past each stage, the last prediction obviously being who will win the finals.
- At the end of each stage, we will create a table with a summary of all predictions.
- At the end of the tournament, we tally all predictions from all stages to find the top football predictors.

Starting with the group stage.

I hope to be wrong regarding African teams, but that's what I think.

My predictions for the group stages:

Group A:
1. Brazil
2. Croatia

Group B:
1. Spain
2. Chile - Unfortunately for Van Gaal

Group C:
1. Colombia
2. Ivory Coast - I really hope so

Group D:
1. Uruguay
2. The Italian job - Though I have a feeling Three Lions might scrape through

Group E:
1. Switzerland
2. France

Group F:
1. Argentina
2. Bosnia Herzegovina

Group G:
1. Germany
2. USA

Group H:
1. Russia
2. Belgium

I was surprised to see my predictions being largely the same as @D32's. Personally I think the first game plays the biggest role in the Group Stages. A win puts a team in a very good position. A loss puts a team under great pressure since a second loss puts you put of the competition. Beating a "big" team in your first game puts one in a marvelous position. I think Ghana and Cameroon are in extremely difficult groups. Ivory Coast and Nigeria have a chance. But the world cup always springs a surprise - the fall of a big team and the emergence of a dark horse.

The African teams have been very disappointing in the warm ups. No high hopes for them.

And the eventual winner will come from those two! Wana bet?
