Nadal wins the title. First man to win Roland Garros five years in a row. Has now 14 Grand Slam titles just three behind the record of 17 held by Federer

French Open champion Rafael Nadal: "For me it's amazing and emotional, I lost the final at Australia this year where I had a problem with my back and that was a hard moment. Today tennis has given me back what happened in Australia. Playing at Roland Garros is unforgettable, I want to thank everyone here."

The Fed tutampita.....#teamNadal.

REALLY? Mighty RF? Nah! hizo ni zako hehehhe.Ati 'Drug-o-vic' sasa hiyo umetoa wapi?
Lately, tennis has become more and more physical, and reports of less seriousness in testing / turning a blind eye. Lets see who will go the Agassi way

Guess WC fever has overshadowed the goings on at SW19.

Interesting stuff on the ladies' side where the draw has again opened up with Serena and Na out early. Methinks if she can hold it together Sharapova can climb to at least NO 2 by year end - especially since the second half of 2013 was a miserable one for her and she thus has very few points, if any, to defend going forward.

As for the gentlemen is it likely that we'll have a departure from the current norm of a Nadal/Djokovic final?

I try generating interest in this game lakini when a 6 foot plus lad keeps hitting crazy serves to win - I again find myself losing interest
