Ati what?

We now have the Military patrolling our roads? Are you kidding me?

Does anyone in this gov't know what a soldier is supposed to do? What is going on in this gov't?

Quote:
Plans are under way for the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to help the police to secure major roads leading to Nairobi and Mombasa as the government tightens security in the wake of terrorist threats.

Deployment of the KDF was authorised in a Kenya Gazette notice by Defence Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo dated May 22.

Roads where the military will be present include the Nairobi-Thika and Nairobi-Mombasa highways.

Other roads earmarked for KDF patrols include the entire northern highway from Nairobi to Moyale via Isiolo, the Mombasa-Malindi road and the Thika-Garissa road.

Is this the real reason there were mini bombs and no claims from Al-Shabab? To pretend that there's a security hitch then deploy the military to the streets?

This is unheard off. The jubilee gov't has accepted that they can't do security so now will use the military to do their work.

Why not. Provided security is improved, i dont mind. Our policemen are over stretched and if they get support from thier brothers in military, well and good!

Do you know what a soldier does?

I thought they said they have security under control?

Have you ever met a soldier and tried to explain something called the law?

Listen. I have every respect for soldiers. But even they will agree, kazi ya kusaidia watu is not what they do.

This is mistake number 2 by jubilee. Mistake 1 was paying angloleasing.

This one will be a biggie. What if they refuse to go back to the barracks?

The security situation in the country was getting out of hand and we know very well that the police wameshindwa, i'm not be in support of the military patrolling streets in Nairobi but kama ni huko Moyale, Garissa and Mandera sina shida!

KDF personnel were recently ambushed and killed by Al Shabbab militants inside our borders, i don't believe our police officers are well equipped to deal with this kind of threat.

Once you allow the military out off their barracks, strange things happen.

If the police cannot do their job, then fire them. Or lets just go the mawinder way and let us arm ourselves.

The military is a no go zone. There is no two ways about it.

What more evidence than water bottles in a ka small area like Westgate do you need?
