'Mokiri', lol.

Fermenting things are basically, to put it mildly, rotting things.

The difference between salad and garbage is timing.

I am not sure of the idea of eating garbage, rotting things.

It's one thing to treat ulcers, its another to take the body back to its proper state. They are not mutually exclusive.

Its unfortunate that doctors will not tell you this.

H Pylori in its quest to survive, suppresses the production of stomach acid. To get back to optimal levels of stomach acid production, one has to 'assist' the body. 'Jump-starting' by taking in supplements, and reducing as the body adjusts.

If you don't, here are some of the complications of having insufficient acid levels
Addison’s disease
Anemia-Iron Deficiency
Asthma – see the Jonathan Wright Book for a discussion of proper treatment of asthma in children with B12 injections, B6 Magnesium, avoiding food allergens and addressing low gastric acid.
Celiac disease – Wheat gluten sensitivity – Enterolabs, Cyrex labs, antigliadin antibody
Chronic autoimmune disorders-entire list of autoimmune diseases
Chronic hives
Cognitive Dysfunction and Dementia from B12 deficiency
Dermatitis herpetiformis (herpes)-typical for wheat gluten sensitivity
Depression- Leaky Gut with LPS (see articles by Michael Maes)
Diabetes – Autoimmune type one
Eczema
Gall bladder disease – associated with hypochlorhydia
Graves disease-Autoimmune-Elevated TSH receptor ab-Yersinia molecular Mimciry with TSH receptor
Hepatitis
Iron deficiency-Low Iron and Low ferritin
Hyper and hypothyroidism- Autoimmune-Hashimotos Thyroiditis
Lupus erythematosus -autoimmune
Myasthenia gravis
Neuropathy and NeuroPsychiatric Disorder from B12 deficiency
Osteoporosis-from Calcium Malabsorption
Pernicious anemia – Parietal Cell Antibodies-B12 deficiency-gastric atrophy
Psoriasis-autoimmune
Rheumatoid arthritis-autoimmune
Rosacea
Sjögren’s syndrome – Autoimmune
Thyrotoxicosis-three types: Graves, Hashitoxicosis, and Txic Nodular Goiter
Vitiligo
Chronic intestinal parasites or abnormal flora -GI-Fx shows parasite DNA
Undigested food in stool-Demonstrated on GI-FX test
Chronic candida infections-from gut dysbiosis
Upper digestive tract gassiness-from dysbiosis

You never do tell us what she was told to avoid.

If it was me, I would follow Rankaz advice on diagnosis to rule out cancer. If its ulcers and/or gastritis associated with H pylori, I would follow mainstream medicine advice briefly, then ditch those and go with eating more fermented foods (yogurt, fermented uji, fermented veggies if you can find organic ones prepared properly, cooked veggies, beans, legumes) and avoid meats, sugar, bread or traditional foods that irritate the stomach e.g very dried maize etc.

My mum was diagnosed with ulcers. The doctors says its been there for loong ( she has been complaining of lower abdomen pain for almost 6 years). She was advised on what to avoid eating. What she does know is which food to eat. Please advise what we can buy given;

She is elderly- nearing 70
Stays in shags..

Muriel:

Mukiri is onto something. Fermented foods have many benefits, backed by science. Every culture has some form of fermented food as a method of preserving food. The primary benefit of the cultured foods is colonizing our digestive system with good bacteria and yeasts so that the pathogenic bacteria (like H. Pylori) are crowded out....

Hebu soma hapa habari ya Kimchi fermented korean veggies.

I do not doubt his sincerity, but it makes sense to consume the highest quality food. Alternatives to the alternatives to conventional lifestyle views exist. I read your links then I read this also.

I agree with the bolded part because we must question even science.

That said, the guy you quote is a dumbass. He did not do his research on how foods are fermented, and does not cite any credible science for his declarations. He is pushing his book..
