What are the exchange rates when changing to foreign currency ?

How about loading foreign currency with partner banks KCB/DTB, is it possible or do you still have to load KeS ?

You use the bank rates given online, giving one no chance of even negotiating. I went to DTB and they demanded KES, telling me the cards can only be loaded with KES. They won't accept foreign currency for the card, so I was told. I didn't try KCB.

Thank you.

With kcb you have to load using KES (I have both nakumatt kcb branded mastercard and a KCB visa debit card).

with the kcb visa card you can load via mpesa or over the counter.

KCB don't publish the rates online anymore and those tuthings that show the rates in red at the banking halls don't work anymore (at least for the branches I visit). They make their cash from the exchange rates

Nearly all major banks are thieving on this FOREX thing. The rates are so uncompetitive driving the small customers to the bureaus.
