By the way they were only given time to clear not that they have been allowed to stay. Why should the CS be sacked? for following up on taxpayers assets benefiting a few people? Unfortunately, if the law was to be applied the way you suggest in this thread and in previous threads, we would have chaos in Kenya. I would only need to identify idle government land and build a nice house and then the government would vacate.
Should we now okay the intended grabbing of Portland cement land in Kitengela?
I saw you suggest that JKIA should have relocated and left the guys occupying the flight path in Syokimau to stay put. If JKIA was to relocate to Konza, would we then need to relocate Tsavo after 50 years when the whole of konza has become fully occupied?
If someone sold you a GK vehicle and you were caught, would you plead that you did not know and that you have made repairs to the vehicle and that you have been using it to do business with it and there by generating employment?
If someone build on your land and latter claimed that someone sold them the land, would you surrender the land to them? Who would follow up on the seller, is it you or the other person....Only the rule of law can help. Otherwise,we would degenerate to anarchy.
I acknowledge the pain of those who bought and may be the Agriculture ministry may not need all that land but another Government ministry may need it. Why should the government throw away land and latter buy it and exorbitant prices, who will compensate the government for the land. May be the best the government can do is to ask them to buy the land at the current market price to avoid demolition
Here is the proper way to buy in land in Kenya
