President Kenyatta blames Anglo Leasing pay on AG!!

Quote:
He tore into the Attorney General’s office and demanded that they “up their game” in fighting the country’s legal battles abroad.

The revelation formed the core of the President’s argument that Kenya had no choice but to pay Sh1.4 billion to two controversial firms, after losing cases to them in London and Geneva.

“We must up our game so that our counsel can stand by what all Kenyans including myself believe that we should not be paying this and we need to be able to win all those court battles in the courtroom,” he told journalists at State House, Nairobi.

I will only believe this gov't is serious about this issue when I see those named in the report that he wrote and investigated, are in jail.

This passing the buck to the AG who will then pass it to the former AG who will then pass it to Moi, just has to stop.

Either he's the President who owns the buck or he's a ducker.

While he may have a point that since the cases were lost, they need to be paid, that point is totally mute when we know that that the names in those reports still hang around State House Road and other Kenyan Roads.

So, as a citizen. I don't believe a word they're saying. They've said it very many times.

But no one is in court. Not one, not anyone. Just more words.

This is Kenya we know how things work. Pretend you're very annoyed on TV, promise another tribunal and investigation, appoint another group of commissioners who will eat more money, election time bring the tribes together....everyone will have forgotten.

Great governments are remembered by their ACTIONS not speeches. Thus far, their speech writers are very good.
