Do Christians believe in Jesus or not??

Matthew 5:17Do not imagine I have come to change the Law of Moses or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish it...

IN CONTEXT
Quote:
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus came to fulfill the law and the prophets. HE IS THE FULFILLMENT!!

Or what do you think he means when he says he came to fulfill both the law and the prophets??

Jesus points out that for the law to be followed, it MUST be followed to the smallest detail! You ccannot break part of the law! You break the whole of it when you stumble!!

Ya tatu, Yesu katwambia our righteousness must surpass that of the pharisees! These pharisees were the holiest "muslims" of those days, they did everything in the book and even went to the point of tithing of the spices of those days!!

How is it possible to be holier than such fellows?

What would you do if she was your sister or daughter?

@muganda are you a Christian?? If so... Find the solution below!

Deuteronomy 13:7-11 If your brother, mother, son, daughter or wife leads you from Yahweh you must PUT THEM TO DEATH.... You must KILL HIM with your own hand... You must STONE HIM TO DEATH

@guru267 now I have faith in your goodness. And I know for a fact you would not put your sister or daughter to death if she chose to leave Islam.

"There is no compulsion in religion" [2:256], and "Whoever so wills may believe and whoever so wills may deny" [18:29].

Even the Prophet did not order death on the Bedouin man who apostatised and left Medina. So the problem remains fundamentalism, hardening of hearts, and greater need to condemn and instruct those who stray.

Show me a fundamentalist and I'll show you a hypocrite.

If someone kills another pre meditated, one modern judge may choose to give him 20 years in jail, another life in prison and another death by execution...

Which judge is right and which one is wrong if the law is being applied by all??

After saying all that the Law of Moses remains unchanged as stated by Jesus Christ!

So even if the judge who sentenced her to death gets the least place in heaven at least he will not be in hell!

Aaah smile the issue may be...
which judge is right, justified, merciful, peaceful or loving?

For the law may be right,
the retribution even-handed;
The judge may choose mercy,
or with his actions a peaceful way.

But the wisest way is love.

A sister or daughter calls for love. And the Bedouin man was treated like a friend. Let's teach those who stray, a better way.

What the hell is this guru and muriel? does it mean that if a Christian converts to islam they should be put to death also for apostasy? aiii this god allah eish!!!

If Christians do not put that person to death its between them and Yahweh but they are disobeying his law!

Deuteronomy 13:7-11 If your brother, mother, son, daughter or wife leads you from Yahweh you must PUT THEM TO DEATH.... You must KILL HIM with your own hand... You must STONE HIM TO DEATH

Your argument runs like this; if Christians follow the 'Torah' like the Muslims do, then they should kill the girl for committing apostacy against Christian faith by converting to Christianity.

That is, the cross interpretation of law is not valid and consistent, and results in arbitrariness and injustice masquerading as justice.

guru; you mean the God who is rich in mercy and detests the death of sinners would really want anyone to kill a sinnet? again does God not give humans, the will to choose? this allah you claim to worship is very different from the one I know @guru.
