I had booked to watch this acclaimed Musical play last night. But when I went to the GoDown, I was shocked to find that they had overbooked the show two-times over!!!

Surely; Eric Wainaina and Sibi-Okumu can do much better than that!!!

And now I have tried calling them to confirm my re-scheduled attendance...and they are not answering the phones!

Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Had a chance to catch the show a couple of weeks ago. If you'd watched the earlier 'Lwanda' then you have an idea what's in store. Surprisingly wasn't very full then - 1st Friday after launch.

Must say despite all Safaricon issues, I hear they really helped to make it all possible, New York trip & promotion et all. Hope you catch it.

Speaking of culture, just seen the Wazua - events and I see an event 'Blankets & Wine' with many who's who performing...
Any one been to one? Is it worth trying to find these stables?

I wanted to book for this one very soon. Seems I need to move fast. Seems like the Wednesday shows may be fuly booked to the end. So we need to shell out a bit more.

Finally watched the show last Friday.....

My God! That Valerie girl can sing...and act as well!

She outshines Eric Wainaina on both counts...

It's great show; pity it ends on 20th...they should extend into next year

Curtain Call at least for now

And as for the cast, I can’t speak about every single member although everyone, especially Valerie Kimani, DJ Luanda’s sweetheart, has an especially important role to play in this multi-layered modern day morality musical. The other cast member who holds the show together with finesse, charm and style is the Professor, played by Dan ‘Chizi’ Aceda, since he not only takes the time at the outset of the show to artfully introduce every Kwa Maji community member
