ON Monday i was travelling from isiolo to Nairobi. When the vehicle got trapped in a demonstration which turned chiotic as the demonstrators started stoning the bus and trying to burn it since it belonged to a rival community.

what shocked me was the only person who saved our life was a single AP.He fired in the air till we were able to remove the stones blocking the road and return back to isiolo.

The police came 24hrs later.Imagine we could have been lynched and no one would have helped/saved us apart from that brave AP,For being a borana.

@selah, pole sana that you had to undrgo such a traumatic experience because of the narrow mindedness of some people. But dont hate or dislike that rival community for subjecting you guys to all that, understand they are coming form a position of ignorance and the politics of ethnicity as advocated by our leadership at all levels. Spread this difficult but important message to any frinmeds you may have had in the vehicle.Kudos to the AP fo saving lives unfortunately you will not see him on Jamhuri day receiving a Head of State commendation.

Pole @selah. This tribe thing is a big monster that unless, tackled head on, will keep our promising country from progressing. Its a colonial legacy that our subsequent leaders have exploited shamelessly. The mzungu kept us in tribal reserves and you had to wear a tag on your neck identifying your white master and tribe.
Life is short. Live passionately.
