@TAZ. Average RB means less attacking options, Sagna has been average going forward and improvement is. needed. Top teams are targeting Baines, Luke Shaw etc because wing backs are crucial. Average keeper means no competition for Schesny which will culminate in complacency. On strikers, we have been there before. Lucas can score but cant do anything else. His link up play and off the ball movement is pathetic. Walcott has pace but is clueless with his back to the goal. Giroud is hardworking but lacks pace and cant score against big teams.
Am certain that Manutd, Chelsea and Liverpool will strengthen and if Arsene does not add to squad, the 4th place trophy will be beyond reach next year.
Let us compare notes same time next year inshallah.

Yaya Toure was outstanding in that 4-0 victory. It is City's to lose now..

Pheeew...that classic goal in extra time was just out of this world. Yaya toure had claimed in the past that he does not get the recognition he deserves because he is black...and I do agree woth him. He is in the same league with ronaldo messi etc. Afroca should speak out!

Agree, there is no better attacking midfielder at the moment.
He is the kind of player who changes a game.

For Liverpool, it's like a dream come true,
Despite, the set backs in the last 2 games ; it has been a great season.

My prayer in the transfer window, Suarez to be there for next season.
There some players whom you can't easily replace.

@Kaka2za......No quality keeper will join Arsenal or any other top team to be a bench warmer, I'd actually be surprised if you knew Bayern's second choice Keeper. What we need is just a decent back-up....btw Szscensny will win the golden glove if he keeps a clean sheet against Norwich. As for RB, we already have Serge Aurier lined up and I think he's good enough, most (if not all) English players are over-rated so I'm not really concerned about the likes of Shaw going elsewwhere. As for our strikers well they have their weaknesses but who doesn't, Giroud has actually scored almost the same number of goals as Aguero and Rooney. Arsenal midfielders create so many goal scoring chances, what we need is someone who can execute 90% of those chances......Giroud can be inconsistent at times but this season he has done his job given the fact that he's played in almost all our games.

As for Walcott, I think all the top clubs would love to have him on their squad.....when he got injured Arsenal's game was affected, we've really missed his pace. Poldi on the other hand is one of the best finishers in the game. We have players who can play at the front but perhaps what we need is a strong reliable target man, we have enough creative players. Its quite obvious that Wenger doesn't really need to overhaul the team what the club needs is depth in the squad. Arsenal are always perfect when everyone is fully fit but when we start losing players through injury things change...that has always been our biggest problem. I strongly believe that if we had Ramsey, Walcott, Ozil and Wilshere fit during that crazy run of fixtures in Feb and March we would have won the league. Its easy to forget that as it stands they are just 7 pts behind the league leaders. The stability we had this season has really helped the team unlike previous seasons where we've lost one or two of our best players that is why I think we need to add only two or three players.

@TAZ, J.Martinez is quality but am afraid Wenger will negotiate and bargain to the last coin and he will be be snapped by Mancity or Liverpool.

I will only believe it when I see it on Arsenal.com. I assumed that Gustavo was a done deal last season. I have learnt my lessons.

Man City will be a bit limited in the transfer market due to their FFP ban. Wenger has been a huge fan of Martniez, he tried to sign him in 2012 but the club was in no position to get into a bidding war with Bayern Munich. He is exactly the kind of player Wenger needs. Right now the club is doing much better financially due to the recently announced sponsorships (kama Puma) and reduced debt so i don't think they would have a problem spending £25m on him. I still can't believe we spent £42m on a player (Ozil).

Arsene says Arsenal needs just few players, I don't understand how.In my opinion,Arsenal needed just three players to win the EPL this year but will need a couple more to compete next season. They need the following:
2 G Keepers to replace Fabianski and Viviano(I understand Viviano is so poor that Wenger wanted to ship him back to Italy before end of season)

1Right back to replace Sagna(Would prefer Aurier or Sebastian Jung)

A DM to take the load of Arteta(pardon...did I hear anybody mention that Diaby is back?)

2 Strikers .Top priority.A world class striker and a back up.I would go for Drmic or Remy as back up but have no idea where a WC striker will come from because they are in high demand.

That is a minimum of six players assuming Thomas Vermalen wont leave hence need for another CB.

LOL. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been fined £10,000 for "congratulating" referee Mike Dean after the loss to Sunderland at Stamford Bridge

If Louis van Gaal joins Man Utd, there'll be a lot of spice for the press. Anyone who saw him being interviewed by British press on his much touted move to UTd will agree...

Pressman: What do you know about Man Utd.

Van Gaal: That is a stupid question. PAUSE. I think that is a stupid question. Man Utd is the biggest club in the world. What answer do you want?

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

The guy simply does not mince words and doesn't know how to. He said he wants the Utd job but it's up to the club. He gets job offers every season so there's no pressure....

This is one guy who will bench Rooney without blinking. He has zero social skills but gets the job done! That's what we want in the next 2 seasons. After that they can look for a long term guy.

Goon squad you guys better hope there's no upset again tomorrow, otherwise the backlash will last till the World Cup starts. Personally after the Birmingham debacle I don't see it happening again...but then again this is Arsenal - the club that stayed the longest at the top of the Table - 128 days to be exact!

@Smano....FA Cup final will be on the 17th not this weekend.

Van Gaal might be what Man Utd need but i don't think the British press will give him enough time to settle, he'll probably need to win something next season otherwise atakuwa labelled a flop. I think akina SAF, Charlton and Co would rather have a British born manager at OT so Van Gaal will be a man under pressure to prove his worth.

Somehow, I get the feeling that SAF's opinion isn't worth a kg of sh*t at the OT Boardroom, they're just too polite to say it.

United will have to accept the truth: there is no British manager big enough for that job.

Oops, my bad!d'oh! Forgot this is the closing weekend of BPL. Nothing too exciting this time with all relegation teams all but confirmed, no 4th spot shenanigans and Liverpool having ruined another last day title race.

As for Van Gaal, I can assure you a Top 4 finish will be the priority for all Utd fans, it's not easy after the dismal season we've had and a summer where we may not get all the players we want coz of lack of CL football (f*** Moyes hard!Nkt) but maybe an FA or league cup might be expected. Nonetheless, the No. 1 objective will surely be an IMMEDIATE return to lucrative CL football, trophies can wait. Hayo ndio maoni yangu

...At for Norwich to survive relegation they need to beat Arsenal by 18 goals. And that is if West West brom is beaten... Some commentators!!!

Only a matter of time before Mourinho is kicked out....unless he changes his tactics on the pitch.
