Thank you murchr.

I hope the Nairobi‬ Gov. ‪Evans Kidero‬ is not noise making (with glee) like the usual suspects here as has now decided launching ‪‎City Hall FM‬ is the most urgent Nairobi need!! ISORAIT

IMHO, our intel guys don't have a clue or capacity to decipher this: that usalama watch is a failure and blunder in our counter terrorism strategy, the bombings in Msa and Nbi are a Somali reaction to perceivedpprofiling of their interests hence their targeting of Okoperationssinesses as soft targets for retaliation. sending a msg to UK. How elae can these targets be explained?

its time for better intelligence gathering and analysis, short of which we'll continue gropping in the dark not knowing who the enemy is, what motivates him, who funds him, how he operates and where he sleeps with who and why he does what he does. until these simple operational issues are addressed by our spies, we'll continue to seej for strategic solutions to tactical issues.

Do we have the right people at the helm in this war? tafakari hayo.

EXIT SOMALIA!

Exactly my knee jerk reaction as well until I heard these very compelling arguments:
1. The objective of Al-Shabab is to establish an islamic caliphate not only in Somalia but also in parts of Northern Kenya (got a flash memory of a loose talk by a leader of majority)
2. Kenya has more than 700Km of very porous border where all manner of contraband is easily traded
3. Threat is not only Al-Shabab but as well various mutants and Al-Qaeda sleeper cells within Kenya.

Dear security experts, what are the SOLUTIONS? (As one witness says, nikufiam jo! )

THANK YOU!
my sources>> engaging somalis and reading their crzy phlegm filled forums.

So the reason they targeted a Githurai and Mwiki bound bus was because their own are being held in Kasarani

Having hotline numbers to the police isn't even a reasonable way for the citizen to show vigilance. Imagine the marginal cost of police taking each call seriously. Or the cost of not boarding public vehicles or insisting on security checks everywhere.

The government on the other hand can't do much on its own especially because it has neither extensive capital nor market control.

In my opinion, the questions of who, what, why. . . can only be answered by 'the capitalist system' which creates the conflicts we are experiencing. And as such, is the real enemy.

Brother, so you are saying the present antagonistic conflict-inducing capitalist system needs to be replaced by another, different and new system if there is to be peace, security, harmony, oneness, unity, love, in the world?

I am of the opinion that the neutering of the real enemy - the present capitalistic system - will only be worse for us and bring trouble such as have never been since the earth was created!

Yet, lets get it over and done with!

I agree with the deputy president withdraw al from from somalia is defeatist and an act of cowardice.we deserve to be shot in the back if we withdraw now.what kenya needs is to get very serious on security. Some suggestions include
-build a security wall on the entire somali border.and have aborder guard policing the entire wall.
-Boost the capacity of the internal security machinary.
-massive recruitment to our armed forces/police.
-create a counter terrorism unit to deal with sleeper cellss in the country
-corruption. ..hiyo hata sisemi
-nyumba kumi..is a good initiative if handed professionally and effectively.
-and many more. .
Hope is not a strategy
