Sorry guys for starting a new thread on Chicken when there is one existing.

Dont know how to tafuta them.

I came across a package being offered by Pwani Feeds where one buys chicken cages and 256 birds for 307k.The birds start laying eggs immediately. They barter your egg produce with feeds. They are buying the eggs at 260/tray and giving an assurance of 90% production.

Thot it was a good idea to share.

I am buying birds only 100 of them.

Hope to hawk my eggs at 290/tray.

Your views.

Hey Bigchick..any feedback/updates on the venture?
Hope is not a strategy

Woi do not give me bad memories.

I did not buy from them after consultations here and there.

Instead I sent someone to Rift Valley for Kienyeji which I was to fatten and sell after a month.

I did projections of a selling cycle of 100birds weekly at 200 bob profit per bird.20k weekly for a side hustle looked good.

The reality:-Brought the first 100.About "20 died" on day 2.Brought the second batch on 2nd week and guess what they died in batches of 40 per dsy and in 5 days I had nothing not even 1 egg from them.

In short my farmhand one Mr Nyaga sold all of them and travelled back to Kianjokoma and I guess build himself a nice house.

Total loss about 150k.

Filed in my experience file.

@bigchick pole .... took me forever to decode 'dead'. Try it again when you have time to initially micro manage before letting the labourer on his/her own.
