The ranking is based on what? Man city at 22 behind arsenal and totenham? !!!!!

The rankings are based on the fact that form is temporary but class is permanent.

You could feel the disappointment in the voices of the English commentators. They were silent when all three goals were scored.

I'm still in shock. Didn't think either of these Madrids would reach the finals. The tide has shifted again from the Germany to Spain and even worse it's a derby, so it has shifted to a city.

BBI will solve it

Oh well, don't have much more to say...I'm a good loser, I accept defeat magnanimously. It's been a long time we went without a trophy...

costa vs pepe, wonder who will win the fair play award. The one thing that has put me off with the madrid derby is the anti football antics, play acting and harassing the ref - hope webb wil be given the officiating duties

So now it seems Brendan Rogers is the guru of football strategy & tactics on Wazua. Hmmmmmmm, hope this doesn't burst your fragile bubbles:

Jose Mourinho claimed vindication last night for his tactics at Anfield as he revealed that the Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, had called him on Tuesday to admit his approach was right. After Sunday’s game, Rodgers had scorned Mourinho’s approach as “easy to coach” but on Tuesday he congratulated the Chelsea manager, who said that Sunday’s disagreement had been forgotten, and that tactics that were not pragmatic were “stupid”.

“Brendan is a manager and is somebody I consider my friend,” Mourinho said at his press conference before Wednesday night's Champions League semi-final with Atletico Madrid. “Of course I know his words after the match, but I also know his words today, and today he told me congratulations for a great victory and a great performance. Because I consider him a friend and someone I like, I prefer to forget the words after the match and I keep today’s word. He’s an intelligent guy. He watched the match for sure on video and, now, I think he understood what happened.”

the same brendan rodgers who worked under mourinho at chelsea. that must be very objective.

Manchester City are facing a fine of £50 million for breaching Uefa's Financial Fair Play regulations, the fine will be payable over three years and the team will have to freeze their Champions League spending. In addition they will only be able to enter a 21-man squad in the Champions League (instead of 25).
