1. Why are these being referred to as Anglo Leasing payments? These are payments to First Mercantile and Universal Satspace LLC for delivery of services to Postal Corporation (VSAT connection and network management/bandwidth provision)
2. My suspicion is that the UK Law Courts gave the award because the above services were
a. Either delivered
b. Available for delivery, but the contracting entity, Postal Corp. may have cancelled the contract after having signed the contract.
3. Generally, UK courts NEVER interfere with private contracts, which means that once it is proven that two parties entered into a contract, then the contract MUST be honoured...That is why firms request international contracts to be under English Law.
4. If the contracts were subject to English Law, then Kenyan Courts can merely opine but can't pass internationally-recognized judgments
5. Only a court can stop payment!!!

@jmbada, I understand they are called Anglo Leasing because the garment entered into contracts with the companies but had no cash. A company called Anglo Leasing paid on behalf of the garment and is now asking for repayment of the loans.

So suddenly we want to comply with international law because there are 'consequences'.......abk

How exactly are we going to afford this? Is there a kitty somewhere for monumental gaarment messes? Ama tusahau laptops na SGR?

Shouldn't we try diplomacy? Many always thought it can't work on court matters yet we saw it work in a personal matter. Maybe we should try it on a National matter. We better fail while trying, and even if we fail, we shall say we tried. Our friends in fighting graft n poverty may opt to pay it up for us as a grant, you know anything is possible. We should attempt anything that would save us this loss. Our police need houses, cars, guns, health and more of them.
