Right now i feel like pulling someone's hair,but i can only pull my own.I have made several trips to HELB for my refund and each time you are given a new lie;sijui 6 weeks, sijui 8 weeks wait.My refund is substantial.I need this this money.
Kwanza;how dare they continue receiving payments for people who have cleared their loans.Isn't this theft/corruption etc.They should be quick to refund as they are quick to ask for repayment.
Even if they were to commit 1/2 million per month,they would refund quite a number of people.
Please saidieni.

back in the day when a colleague noticed a double-deduction and pursued it, he was informed that it would be a very tedious process that would involve even the central bank. He opted to let it slide since he hadn't finished paying anyway.

That seems to be the problem.

Have you tried mailing them (saves on alot of your time + no one likes dealing with an agitated client) ?

Try cc the 'higher-ups' and your issue will def be sorted much faster.

Else, ask @Simonkabs just how acrimonious his exchange was . .

kwanza there is a dude called wycliffe waruguru in the refund dept, he is the most useless of them all. i have written 10 emails to him and none of them has been replied to - i even copied his boss once and the boss wrote back asking the dude to reply but wapi.
am so sick and tired of helb; wanilipe tutokanwo!

Don't waste your time and money emailing them. Simply show up in person and don't leave till your matter has been addressed. Speaking from harsh experience. Funny thing, the guy I was emailing replied almost 6 months after my issue had been sorted.Sad

ensure you also get your clearance certificate once you complete paying else you keep getting reminders that you are due.
