Think about the evolution of military strategy as well. Today, Egypt cannot even dream of attacking Israel - well, nobody can except China. Not even Russ. Israel's entente with Egypt is anchored on commercial interests. E.G. Israel grows best fruits, sell them to Egypt who rebrand it and sell to Arab world.
But Egypt is arguably the strongest military in Africa. When we shall be discussing the strongest police force in Africa, SA will feature prominently.
Like Obama told Romney, military evolves. Kenya has a small, disciplined and intelligent military. The future of military is not numbers or equipment. It is the head.
