drive on the northern by-pass past the Kiambu road bridge on way to Ruaka. once you pass githogoro slums (sandwithed in between runda) on the right are many golf grass sellers - each bag (those small black things) is i guess 70 bob
caveat - that grass is only maridadi; you cannot be stepping over it as you like - too fragile

Also looking for grass as a cover crop. If this variety is fragile, means roots don't go in too deep, no? Where can I get it at the Coast?

Thats Kikuyu grass, the best for lawns. Golf courses and rugby playing surfaces esp. the south African and OZ ones also use the Kikuyu grass.

Some experts* claim its not the best(tends to grow in patches sometimes and it hates shades). Bermuda is what the expert* is recommending. Any experiences?
