The cleric has been quoted several times in the past praising terrorist attacks in Kenya

and,

he cleric reportedly told youths who were planning on staging protests over the killing of Makaburi to remain calm and await a “bigger and bitter revenge”.

For the above highlighted reasons.Believe me AlphaDoti, prevention is better than cure.....Actually,if you are the nice Muslim you claim to be and you hate death visited to any other person, shouldn't you help as eliminate this kind of bad seeds amongst as?.......You and other nice meaning muslims should borrow the head of this idiot and spare many unforeseen agony,No?!

@mawinder since in your opinion all terrorists must be Muslims does that mean you do not consider Mungiki as a terrorist organization??

Mungiki is a criminal organization. Terrorists usually have some political or religious ideology which they use as an excuse for their actions; Mungiki extorted people and killed those who resisted. Very distinct difference.

You see @Alph... Even though Mungiki TERRORIZED our communities with behadings they are not terrorists...

According to the Mushriks TERROR=ISLAM

We should just conclude from the uneducated response from @quicksand that the fitnah against Islam predicted by the prophet is here...

Prepare yourself adequately... The time for closing masjids and banning the qur'an is upon us! Sad

You are too emotional for any proper discourse. I did not make any specifics about terrorists regarding what their religious or political inclinations are. Carlos the Jackal too was considered a terrorist. I am not bound by your religious tunnel vision. I consider wider socio-economic, historical and political contexts too. Educate yourself. Or at least pause and think first before replying.

To all the haters of Islam..

No amount of hate will prevent a church/temple/shrine near you being converted to give way for a new mosque!

No amount of hate will stop a family member near you from converting to Islam!

I'm glad for your being objective. In my opinion, what you have highlighted there does say which crime he is guilty of.

First the paper claims the man has been quoted severally praising terrorist. YOu know this vcan be media gimmick. They don't tell you what he said. But they are succeeding in playing with your mind to believe man is bad.

Secondly, about him telling the youth not to protest. That one is commendable if you ask me.

THirdly, and then he goes ahead and say "bigger and bitter revenge". I will say it is possible he was referring to God revenging for the Makaburi assailants. Remember the police do not know who did it. You don't know who did it. I don't know who killed him. The man is saying the assailants will somehow get the punishment of killing. And this assumption is supported by the fact that he asked the youth not to stage protests, to be calm, to be law abiding citizens. And we see similar promises by God in the Bible, God avenges for the oppressed Exodus 22:23: "If you do and they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry". Luke 18:6-7 "I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly"

Fourthly, you say prevention is better than cure? I agree to that saying. But to kill people like dogs without charges? I can't support extra-judicial killings. I want the government to do proper investigate and execute the perpetrator.

Oh guka, are people guilty just because they are imams?

@Alpha,
This a serious issue and you should stop making jokes out of it.....why would you want to make anybody believe that the man was misquoted?.....why him out of 42M Kenyans? Why not you? Why not me?....Now you talk about fair trial and yes all are innocent until proven guilty. It brings me to some laws and that is why maybe they say the law is an ass. There was this case where a man was taken to court coz of killing two lions which had killed his two cows.According to the prosecution, the man should have reported the killing of his cows to the police. He argued so rightfully then that the lions were to blame because they didn't report to the police that they were coming to kill his cows.....Here we are.If you can kill without permission, you should be killed without permission.Very close to Hammurabi's law.
