Hello good people,

I have a query on bean farming?

How is wairimu bean doing in the market? I am looking at starting a project in farming in the dry food sector. Is there a ready market or I have to do my research first before I embark on the project. I also don't have a ready piece of land for this and I understand from people that beans do well in this sides of Nakuru, Naivasha -Gilgil.
How is the rental option like and the labour. Considering am in Nairobi - I would need someone to look out for the shamba.

Also on a lighter note, has anyone put their money in the VIPortal forex company? I just heard about it and their returns are very questionable? Though I know of someone very close who has actually reaped the returns..so has any of you taken the risk??

Your feedback will be highly appreciated..thanks!

Welcome to wazua Gasheri, wairimu is gud but market wise nyayo is doing exemplary! Farm leasing is usually done after harvests so to find one currently is very rare!

Thanks Coolio, so around May is when I should start looking for land since that time people will be harvesting? Do you know if in Thika the beans can do well?
