Barcelona can't go out today. That group is going all the way to the wire,will be decided on the last day as for Liverfools,this could be it. Have to admit though that I did not want them to exit so early,I wanted them to meet Chelsea as usual.

If Inter Milan win tonight which I think they will,then Rubin Kazan beat Dynamo Kiev Barca is out.

They will be playing the Europa league in January.

@McReggae and eduu,
Why are you guys writing Barca off? Is it that I'm looking at the wrong table or what?

Inter P4 W1 D3 L0 Pts6

Barca P4 W1 D2 L1 Pts5

R Kazan P4 W1 D2 L1 Pts5

D Kiev P4 W1 D1 L2 Pts4

Today Inter are playing at Barca so I really don't get why you're all writing them off.
I actually think Barcelona will finish top of the table.

If Inter win the will have 9 point with 1 game left,if Rubin Kazan win the will have 8 points with 1 game left and a better head to head record over Barca. (Rubin Kazan are playing at home and they won the Russian league last weekend)

So Barca cannot surpass the 2 teams even if it wins the last group matches and the 2 teams lose.

Champions league without liverpool ceases to be a league of champions. Wait and see. We'll never walk alone

Tie-breaking criteria
Based on paragraph 6.05 in the UEFA regulations for the current season,if two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches,the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings:

higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;
higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;
superior goal difference from all group matches played;
higher number of goals scored in all group matches played;
higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question,as well as its association,over the previous five seasons.

@mtaalam......rule one ensures that barcelona will not be able to get past rubin kazan the the later wins today and the former loses

Playing those thursday night matches will worsen an already bad season for the fools. How fast things change in soccer. Did i hear somebody say the fools were the EPL title contenders this season? Poor them.

Glory Man United.
