F-connectors. Usually cost around 10bob each. If you want a satellite signal finder/metre, please go for one that is at least able to decode DVB-S2 signals of at least 32APSK. Unfortunately, such are not available in Nairobi (a good example being SatLink WS-6918P) and one would have to import, preferrably from China, at a general cost of at least US $ 300. After much tinkering, managed to get 78% signal quality on the 11977 V 27500. BBC, Euronews, Press TV, Al Jazeera, MTV all in English and very clear, CNN cracks at times. Nilesat is truly a nice bird. The HD channels are the best. So tempted to sell my Dstv decoder and dish. Long live FTA. Thanks Ranksat for the encouragement.

Hello Guys I was searching for this DVB - T2 digital receiver and i stumbled upon this site. Heee i must say its a godsend! Ok i need to have this FTA channels and i do not know where to start. I did read some comments above. However i would like to set this all up at my home in Nairobi. I am a newbie here & i live a thousand miles from home,so marafiki, what do i need for a new setup? -what decoder? -What dish? Yelp! Kindly send me mail through gyinahh@gmail.comMuch appreciated. Got a skybox f3. 90cm dish. Bein sports hd are scrambled and mdc HD also scrambled pliz anyone bypassed this? Also no news channel

Bein Sports has different channels, most are in Arabic save for 11 and 12. I guess you were referring to EPL rights in which Big Brother has rights for Sub Sahara. Well, Kenyan laws have nothing on EPL rights, the best Big Brother can do is refer to such cases in the UK where pub owners were fined for using foreign decoders to air EPL. Big brother could use the CopyRight act but to what extent, no idea. Out of 18 MBC channels, about 6 are in English , 2 Fox movies, Top Movies, sometimes, Dubai TV screens movies in English, Rotana classic If you have the space, get a bigger offset dish and hunt for Eutelsat 7e.
