tractor registration from uganda

am a kenyan living in msa. a ugandan is selling his tractor to me. it has ugandan registration and i need it get changed to kenyan number plates how do i go about it? how much is registration?
how do i tell if he stole this tractor and is selling to me can i follow that at times tower whether hes the first owner etc?
somebody help please

If the tractor is from UG you obviously cannot get its owner details from KRA. You need to get in contact with a clearing agent who will declare an import entry from Busia or Malaba. Import duty for tractors should be zero rated and there is also no age limit on tractors. Registration fees to get Kenyan plates will be approx. 30K inclusive clearing agent fees.
The owner should give you the original logbook plus the de-registration certificate to prove ownership and show that the tractor was duly discharged.

somebody help please For a tractor you dont need to bother with the paperwork.Just buy it,no one will ever ask you.
