Different solutions
Question that we should be asking is
"exactly what is the gov't doing to contain the security situation in Kenya?"
Make no mistake about it, the tourism industry is suffering big time this year.
And most of the insecurity has nothing to do with Al Shabaab.
The number of violent crimes is alarming yet we are being told the numbers are falling. Is there a safe abode in Kenya anymore?
When we start making fun of the security minister, then we have issues.
The only good thing coming out of our police is Alchoblow (i still don't support it.)
But if there is one thing it is proving. Police work and security doesn't stop for the press. Or for "operations". Or dumping 300 Gsu guys in Eastlands AFTER a bomb.
Something is not working in our security system. Even after the fellow is gone, are you safe now?
Maybe all the excitement we are seeing from the death of one man is because we are losing hope. In this gov't showing results. Any win must be celebrated.
But, are we safer now. Or shall we start another thread next week?
Jose: If I make it through this thug life, I'll see you one day. The Lord is the only way to stop the hurt.
