I doubt whether there are/have been sincere efforts to curb insecurity in Kenya. And that's because our political and economic set up seems to offer no alternatives for the citizen other than law breaking.

I thought this was alarming till I read about the 'urban sprawling' thread and @Alma's conversation with the architect. Then I realized that it's the rule of the game.

How can one be secure? How can the young men who are gunned down daily be secure enough to let others live and respect them? These are the questions that need to be answered for all to be well. These are the questions that can help us eradicate corruption. Otherwise we'll all destroy ourselves, despite our clamor.

very sad, but its mentioned she might have tried getting in their way. Maybe she even knew them, thus they killed her.
But a very sad situation, especially with the kids watching
