The primary objective of exercise is not to lose or gain weight but to keep fit and healthy. Losing or gain weight should be a secondary objective

Well said. Hope you have measures in place for your knees @James.

By the way since the marathon,I feel very flexible and can run longer without breaking a sweat.I am building on that.

@ngoyoyo,I hope lewa falls before july.

Muchatha marathon ...lol

Registration is already closed for the 21km, for the 42 km still open though. @Kysee, i hope you've uped your game and are now doing the 42 kms

Woi!! one week before I travel. Misuli zitauma Sad
Well I have never liked lewa cz I don't trust the wild.
If you lag behind and say a lone hungry hyena decides to join you from the bush and the way they love eating one alive from behind?

Are there rangers with guns throughout the track?
How much p/p and where

Its my first and I was informed they have rangers every few mtrs, a helicopter and the route is a little far away from where 'behind munching hungry hyena' might be

You know what just the thought of a hyena makes me train harder so it doesn't have me for lewa.... just done 5km run for 18min

What? Ngoyoyo, were you the last one to register for 21km and kept it a secret ndio tuumie? sawa tu.

@ ryzz,42km is run by the Telegats who drink Mursik and not nairobians fond of drinking flavoured brookside in traffic jams.

42 will be biting more than I can chew so... I may pass.

by the way nilifika target yangu - 83kgs... its been consistent for about 6-7 weeks now! feels great! I still workout every weekday but portions za chakula nilirudisha (more protein and mbogaz and less of starches). started weight training last week in addition to runs. my rugby acquired injuries seem to be healing well and I will make a comeback to the pitch this week. it feels great to be where you want to be.
p.s. a 2 weeks a go I fitted into an 'M' sized shirt - felt so proud!

Congratulations @ Masukuma. I am stuck at 77/78 against a target of 74/75. Maybe I should accept it at my ideal weight. My height is 177cm
