You are not serious are you? Honestly you are not serious!!!! Even one bit.

Ati "what if the presence of Russian troops intimidates voters, so the process is not “free and fair”?"

The residents themselves are already Ruski for crying out loud!!!

and the icing on the cake "Then there’s the bigger problem: the referendum seems inconsistent with the Ukrainian constitution, which says all Ukrainians would have to vote on Crimea’s secession – not just those living in Crimea. ,,,"

As if coups to change the government are in the constitution of Ukraine!!!!!!!!! Oh and as if all Serbians also voted to allow Kosovo become independent!!!!!!!!

Please.

d'oh! d'oh! What do you mean? I have just uploaded two articles with divergent views on the same issue.

I should not have personalized my response that perhaps contributed to you declaring your msimamo. Of course they are not your views. I apologize for that. Nevertheless, I think my stand on the 1st article is still objective.

self determination is what made the US what it is today! people need to let others determine their fate. Allow Georgia, Allow Chechnya allow Cremia and even 'mambasani'. Kama watu hawataki kukaa na nyinyi hawataki! Anyway - who says history ends today or next year or in 100 years? we are so limited in our view

Seriously, what are you talking about. If T.Z decide that coast should have a referendum to be part of T.Z it would be ok. Get a brain.

This Masukuma must be smoking weed. Uganda has Kaleos, if Museveni starts mistreating them can Kenya enter U.G to save them. Imagine later a province in U.G votes to be part of Kenya. People who do not understand international politics should not be quick to expose their ignorance. @Masukuma, keep off this thread from now on.

who died and made you nyapara wa hii thread? mr. johnny come lately? some people think that lines drawn on pieces of paper called maps actually hold this world together! these so called nation-states are just a temporary working order - work in progress if so to speak. we are not at an optimum nor will we be in a number of years. obsession with maps and territory and lording over others and the simultaneous desire to self determine our fate will keep these boundaries moving. People should not be forced to be part of a nation-state that they are not interested in!! be it the Kurds in Iraq, Turkey, Iran or syria! be it the catalans in Spain, Texas, Qubec e.t.c.

Now this could be getting ugly pretty soon or someone will cease their useless threats and heed the stern warning coming from Urusi.

True @masukuma. Some people don't know that the lines on maps are just imaginary. What is real is the people. Tell them that even Migingo might be changing soon, who knows? And also to check out google map and see areas marked red, like our own border with New Sudan.

yeah! Nations are people not territory (so called countries) if a nation does not want to stay with you and want's to jaribu bahati yao elsewhere - let them. I support Crimea's self determination efforts, I support Hong Kong's self determination efforts, Tibet? Kashmir?

Is Obama's Sactions towards Russia effective?
Quote:
In Russia, one of the targeted officials appeared to mock the U.S. sanctions, reportedly saying on Twitter: "Comrade Obama, and what will you do with
those who have neither accounts nor property
abroad? Or didn't you think of that?''
Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you.” ― Rashi

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia proposed on Monday creating an international "support group" to mediate in the Ukraine crisis but outlined terms that Kiev said were absolutely unacceptable and the West is unlikely to welcome.

Ukraine says Russian proposal on Crimea crisis 'unacceptable' Ukraine protests to Russia over airspace violations Russia says EU unconstructive, will retaliate against sanctions. In response to Western calls for what it terms a "contact group", Russia's Foreign Ministry suggested the "support group" could push for Ukraine to recognize the outcome of a referendum in which the Crimea region voted to join Russia

Serious, why do we need borders? That is the most ridiculous question I ever heard. You need to ask for a refund from the school you went to.
