I get the feeling yours could be sleeping disorders or fluorescing light. How many hours do you sleep a day? Do you have anything relieving you from the intense light coming from your screen? My trigger is skipping meals, pumping my system with too much sugar also intense white light

I was here last year and I used to feel like dying. same left side of the head and the left eye...I used to sleep sometimes crying coz they were so sudden and "from nowhere" or so I thought. But with the help of some lady doctor (who believes migraines are triggered by something) I identified my trigger... from having them almost twice a month first half of last year, they went to once a month towards the end. I took pain killers only twice last year when I was almost sure I would die if I didn't. Haven't had one this year and am praying this holds for the next 3-4 years when I can sit back and take it easy. When I feel the pressure building up, classical music works for me and I put "everything" away... something I could hardly do. Good luck with yours. @tycho...which are these techniques I love your choice of music. What was your trigger? needle. thread. and a guy in the office. It has been observed that riding a horse has some calming effect on a stressed mind. It has also been posited that watching, studying a mother hen with her very tiny chicks produces similar effects. I extrapolate that sewing could have some mental impact on the sewer, aside from the technical skills. Obviously also on someone watching the one sewing. The common thread on all the above is simple, easy, less complicated habits. There are simple things, remedies, one can do for and to oneself at a certain level hence avoiding trips to third parties.

Thank You. @webish...as you seek medical advice, try and identify the trigger. @tycho...which are these techniques I love your choice of music. What was your trigger? Care to share what was your trigger? I have been trying to identify trigger. Initially thought it was dust (in UpperHill, this makes me crazy uncomfortable)...Keeping away from exhaust smoke. and I also immediately stopped/suspended using my favorite fragrances just incase they were irritating me...One month now, Nothing. I'm so young that I wouldn't want to believe I have work related Stress/Pressure. @Muriel, great music, huh? My trigger...without going into details,...change of lifestyle from being the "programmer" to being "programmed" and I could not stand not being in control (when you are used to being the teacher and suddenly you are the student kinda thing....) So, the pressure to prove that I could do it, perform and be at the top of the game crept in... (the bold especially ) ...it could be one little thing that makes you "overthink" unnecessarily. But like I said, seek medical advice as you try and identify if there is a trigger. Pain is an SOS. Knowledge of ones body hence is key in deciphering the SOS. Or deciphering the SOS requires knowledge of ones body. Yes, great music. Very great.

A certain time when i was in 3rd year i experienced a severe head ache.I went to see a doctor in a city council hospital.
The city council doctor told me that i have no problem.
The body sometimes reacts mysteriously, just pray God and take it easy

So simple that their impact tends to be ignored.

It could be stress related and very many young people are dropping dead after ignoring and self-medicating these migraines that just start from nowhere. You could also find it's simply optical. BBI will solve it :)

Was a sufferer of persistent migraines during my late teen years. I prayed and asked God to clear them cz they were paralyzing and I was thoroughly born again . Never suffered again. Now reading this thread alone could trigger them so I have skipped posts.

Webish, i've suffered migraines since my teens. I would normally see doctors who would prescribe medicines that kept the headaches at bay for two years before recurring.
I have tried everything from Apple cider vinegar to yoga.
Last year, sept, i went through another attack, and this one was particularly vicious. The pain would last for upto 4 hours and i would sit up in the dark at night with an ice pack on my head. I saw a neurologist who, after a physical exam, determined that there was no underlying cause, but that the veins in my head tend to costrict periodically leading to the migraines. He prescribed some meds which i took for 4 weeks and I've not had a single attack since.
He however told me that these would prevent the migraines for 3 years then i would have to take medication again, and the cycle would continue.
