First, let the planes come in. Then let them make a profit for KQ. Don't count your chickens yet. And there are plenty of sellers at the 14-15 level who got conned into buying Rights Shares while the management decided earning bonuses and perks is better than owning shares in KQ.

Possible delays to KQ's 787 (5Y KZA) dreamliner

(Reuters) - Boeing Co said on Friday that "hairline cracks" had been discovered in the wings of about 40 787 Dreamliners that are in production, marking another setback for the company's newest jet.

The disclosure raised questions about repair costs and a possible minor increase in the weight of the plane, but did not seem to spell major trouble for Boeing, industry experts said.

"If we find an affected area, we'll correct the issue by trimming out the area and applying a fabricated piece in its place," Alder said.(i.e. kirakaLaughing out loudly )

"Deliveries continue as normal outside this potentially impacted 40," Alder said.

Jon identified the 787s affected as aircraft LN 151 to LN 193 inclusive.(WSJ)

Add the Malaysian saga to the hairline cracks and for sure, boeing shall be extra careful with quality checks. Am sure there shall be a delay;KQ already delayed official arrival by a week and cancelled the jo'burg & mombasa 787 schedules ahead of the official Paris 787 launch....unfortunately our press is busy on other things they miss such subtle information

Malaysian 777 has nothing do with boeing for now wreckage still not found and could be a bombon board. The 777 is the world safest wide body jet in it class not a single hull loss since its first commercial flight in 1992 apart from the Asiana and BA crash landing which were essentially loss of control by the pilots. All new planes come with minor problems look at the airbus A380 Singapore near disaster

KQ emerges best time keeper at Heathrow Airport beating all other world airlines. I wish they could do the same at the NSE at least for @Obiero's sake. Link here

All i was saying is boeing shall definitely be extra vigilant especially at this time of more focus on their products

As for issues with new planes,A380s major issue was the singapore disaster but look at 787,it has a litany of issues from battery, hairline cracks, fire on board.....Ethiopias 787 is still at LHR after that battery issue some months ago!! show me a A380 grounded for that many months....
