Say the highest paid is the president,his pay is put into the formula and you get all the other salaries to the lowest paid.
Our president should peg his salary at 500K as the highest paid and lets see what happens to the lest.
I believe the wage bill will come down by 5-7% while the lower cadre will have a pay rise thus cooling the political temps caused by the exercise.
Lets have a national referendum on this issue.
This is what SRC is trying and I think the president's pay cut was their recomendation but this wont go down easy with the majority. If it was the MPs and those many constitutional offices taking a huge pay cut, maybe the effect will be felt. But now the MCAs want more, MPs want more, Governors want more, everybody wants more...

Wish the more the ask the more results we get. Like for example, if the team working at the Huduma centre was to ask for a rise in two years, I would support. They are so proffesional and they are changing the face of the Public Service. But tell me why, I dare ask, should those guys at KRA timestower ground floor, or those at land ministry, ask for a pay increase?
