The value of the drop is about 58,000,000,000 USD. This is more than what was spent in organizing Sochi olympics. Imagine the losses if sanctions are initiated. Putin must back down and beg for forgiveness. Point. The US does not need to fight any physical wars. All they need is make it difficult for Russians to do business with them through financial institutions and mobility. That will kill their currency and Putin's own people will take him out. i.am.back!!!!

How many times is he slapping these sanctions? 10 days keep watching...eem...9 now its AM in that part of the world. Isnt it funny that US invaded Afghanistan & Iraq on false pretenses (chemicals of mass destruction), ousted the presidents of the time and occupied it and right now esp for Afghanistan they are forcing Karzai to sign a agreement for them to stay longer...so what is wrong if Russia invades and takes back crimea? France has been doing the same in Africa "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

France has been doing the same in Africa Iraq was for the supposedly WMD. Afghanistan had Taliban who were allies with Al qaeda. But now Afghanistan's Poppy fields look very attractive to DoD & the agency. If you stay ready, no need to get ready.

kingfisher wrote:jokes wrote:my observations is that USA has had a long-term game plan for Russia since the cold war. To slowly and reduce the power of Russia.
First introduce them to democracy which to a Russian historically has never had any experience in. we all saw the fiasco of President Yeltsin.
secondly introduce market reforms to disorient their market models. that created oligarchs and dire poverty forcing the Russian elites to choose Putin ( this was unexpected and didn't work for the west.)
thirdly reduce their (Russian) influence diplomatically. make it seem that whatever the wanted or did was wrong. this is working. They have reduced the Russians diplomatic power to an extent the USA is able to walk all over Russian supporters with the blessing of the pro west countries. Libya, Syria etc.
Putin knows this, his people know this, they inherited a country that used to be a super power. it was in chaos both politically and economically. crime was high, inflation was biting hard, terrorism etc.
Putin needed first to put the country in order and regain its economic independence, then the military power would come later. They didn't plan or have time to plan a counter attack to the USA's game plan.
The USA noticed this and took advantage and have consistently undermined Russia.
It has worked. Russia has been busy in Georgia ,Ukraine, Chechenya, Syria etc.
The USA has them where they want them. even the invasion of the Crimea has worked in their favour. They are slowly isolating Russia and making it a one country state without the previous satellite states. ngai, hizi ngongoz ni kali sana... ama ni jokes just like the user name? The USA has them where they want them. even the invasion of the Crimea has worked in their favour. They are slowly isolating Russia and making it a one country state without the previous satellite states. [/quote] The invasion of Crimea has worked in their favour because its real estate. Its like someone invading your friends piece of land. Everyone will be against it. Of course you will call all your neighbours, the chief, relatives who will condemn and threaten the invader even with dire consequences. The worst ex- communication where none interacts or trades with the invader. That is the weapon the USA are using. Putin had been pushed to a corner he had only two alternatives. Accept the outcome Fight back... what would you have done?

The protesting opposition were killing their own. The government did fall, as expected, but now Obama is saying that "Any violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity would be deeply destabilizing," I am 'lost'. Hizi sovereignty stories - their need to be respected etc - nimesikia wapi tena?? If we were in animal farm, which we are in, I would be outside looking from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again.
