starehe by any means necessary!
reasons
1. Facilities are superior to some pseudo universities
2. discipline
3. mix of the sons of kahuria tiri and juniors from creme de la creme
4. alumni network is solid and active ~ drop at parklands sports for a whiff
5 community service is mossad modelled to ensure the chaps get places and fit any community /jobs much smoothly
6 extra c. activities equal to none
7 starehe is a member of roundsquare...
8 academics
9 i hear they have only one school rule.
however if the youngster is still undecided... he can report to starch the first week and then disapear on sat/sunday when they are absolut free to go anywhere outside the sch. compound!

Good choice! Though you shouldn't leave it to him to make such important decisions, only when he turns 18, when he's matured. That's why parents are there to guide the kids on the right path.

As an interested party, I have refrained from commenting on this thread as I am an alum of Colditz. Its a no brainer for me, on top of the curricula and extra-curricula events, there was also the excitement of sneaking to the neighbouring Majengo to become a man.......

GG, there are several alumni of Starehe at Wazua...

But what is happening at your Alma Mater? I hear that the legacy of Dr. GWG isn't going on so well.

Majengo and Ziwani are dangerous neighbourhoods! You are truly a courageous man to go fishing there. smile

Judging by the results we're seeing, the Starehe of today is certainly not the Starehe of yesterday. Not even in top 10! In the early 2000s and 1990s Starehe was usually no 1 or at worst no 2. The guys who took over are pulling a Moyes on this school.

If you had calling letters to these schools and you had one week to make a decision which one would you choose over the other and what will be the reasons?

Help a parent here!

@All, you have said Starehe, but are not giving the reason.
What's your reason??

They mould the kid into a model citizen. It's beyond academics.

Yeah, their University performance attests to this!!!!

@McReggae ... how's their university performance?

what university performance? iwent to uni with a guy from starehe and he flunked to death hata we didn't graduate together coz he had an econ and a math resit sijui supp issues mob. if the boy wants kabarak let him go to kabarak. Forcing him to go to a school of your choice not his will affect him psychologically and he will flunk
