Russia Going to War with US over Ukraine?

@Dunkang say thinks that the USA in military terms is only talk with nothing to show for it. @Sparkly agrees with him. I feel really stupid trying to convince anyone that US military might cannot be compared to Russia. Someone please help these two.

More than 100 countries have US military bases while Russia has bases in less than 10 countries.

How about the Russia's invasion and crushing of Georgia over the South Ossetia (The Caucases) separationists ( by the way, this Crimea case is an exact replica of the Ossetia one).

The US on the other hand controls the worlds oil, has fought many wars halfway around the world and swings its will as it wishes. But even with all its power, the US cannot beat Russia at home. The cost for such a war could be too high for them, and their decisions are generally driven by the almighty $. They have no strategic interest in Ukraine and I assure you they will not bother even if Putin kills every single Ukrainian. They will watch as Russia fights the Ukraine and hope that both countries burn to ashes so they can swoop in and pick their carcases. Putin, is overplaying his hand here, he needs to be carefull as he could end up ruining his country economically. US &EU will likely slap Russia with sanctions. Russia's membership in G8 might also be reevaluated. This will impact negatively on Russian businesses operating in these regions and its economy in general. I expect Russia to win the battle but lose the war.

@Obi, you just read my post with a fixed mentality. Its not about Russia vs USA war. My post is about WHAT WILL THE USA DO? The example of Georgia is not about Russia's might, its about Russia's ACT FIRST and let USA talk!!!! Where did you go to school people. Am no where comparing Russia vs USA fighting might. NO. If you want to change your position then go ahead and do that, I know what you wrote, you said "the US are cowards and that if Russia coughs they...." you made reference to Russia attack on Georgia as some sought of show of might. What I am saying is that the US is capable of defending its interests against Russia or any other country in the world, but they will not just put their resources on the line for every other sibling rivalry taking place somewhere in the world. Their talk and talk is basically what govts do, they talk and threaten, its intelligent to act with caution in matters involving war.
