Homa Bay Senator Mr.Cyprian Awiti is another county governor living large.Wherever he goes within the county the governor is escorted by both regular & administration police & the police stand by the road when he is expected to pass through inorder to control traffic or anything that may cause accident. His motorcade is a spectacle to behold & the residents living along the route he is passing have been known to line up to catch a glimpse of this rare splendour. He is a true clon of former president Moi because just like Moi he is a generous man who donates handsomely at funerals & harambees & his style reminds one of Moi especially on police & wananchi standing along the road expecting handouts whose source is suspected public funds. The irony is that Mr Awiti spend most of his early political life fighting & criticising Moi dictatorial era yet he is a true student of Nyayo Philosophy. Wananchi are impatiently waiting for the two years to pass after election before they start invoking the recall clause.
