Am in the same line of bizness trust me ..this trailers ..no returnsd'oh! ...10k net to Champala ..and lucky if u get a return trip haulage..kusumbuana na broker na ma driver( but i have good drivers) better off getting 2 x 4 fighters for short haul distance they make more trips per month & less nonsense of weigh bridges

How would you rate the performance of Mitsubishi Fighter vs Mitsubishi FH vs Isuzu FRR vs Hino truck in terms of initial cost, running costs, carrying capacity and generally.

If this is the case, what explains this recent acquisition http://www.businessdaily...4/-/bai3p1/-/index.html plus the fact that Multiple Hauliers has a fleet of over 800 trucks in the region

Gatoho what happened? What got you fed up?

Had a Champala load, got hijacked, not sure if driver was involved, or the load owner organized it to sell product locally, long story short KRA took the truck and was ugly as it was supposed to be in custom bonded warehouse. Did not help I was running it from far and my manager was getting over excited over tiny sums.

I once overheard 2 older guys talking about prime movers and one was telling the other that he can expect an average of 10k daily return from the investment. Needless to say they went cold the minute I expressed interest.
I have tried to research into this. Business and my preliminary costs are coming to around 7m initial investment including a truck and some form of trailer. Am I anywhere close?

Are the returns Anything close to 10k daily?
I see several parked in mlolongo and various petrol stations, can business go dry to the extent that it is parked for weeks?

He has either got a deal kwa Simiti..gypsum , clinker ..and oil in UG or deep Sudan plus his family is big in mining so he could use them as residual fleet for the family biashara

The 2 businesses I would consider doing in Kenya are: Warehousing and Long distance trucking.

@Kysse, Care to share more on this? Not sure this would be correct thread though.. d'oh!

Specifically, what areas/locations would be ripe for this business?

Life is joy, death is peace, but the transition is very difficult.

Ongeza Nissan Diesel (UD Fighter) MKB210 truck kwa hiyo comparison.
