Hello,

I am,very curios.

Just as a by the way,....has anyone here made a substantial amount of cash or lost a substantial amount based on tips from people on this site?

If so,please share specifics.

G'day to you.

1.We come here for tips, insights, gossip and some other generalities........This ain't investment advisory service and if you ever follow what you get from here, you are more than likely to end up in the poorman's house.........Make your own decision before plunging.

2.Refer to 1 above.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

The best SK has helped me is sympathy. It's here that av met shareholders of some companies i had never met apart from in AGMs. ExPRESS kenya is a case in hand.

If i become half a percentage smarter each year,I'll be a genius by the time i die.

Mlefu*,

I can vouch for you...

Teddy*

The best experience here is when you visit the site with some inclination to a theory...

And must be able to defend it...

Then throw at the forum ...

Peer review...

Then walk away with a stronger inclination to the theory or to the forum...

Making sense out any advice here will be like extracting oil from Kenyan soil...

I have learnt a lot from the sk forum, the key points being:

1. The dubious nature of Old Mutual products. I have warned all my friends against investing with them

2. the concept of averaging the price of shares. if you bought high, don't despair, buy more at a lower cost and reduce your average cost

3. shared experiences on brokers. I almost left cfc but i'm staying put

4. spreading out your buying. Don't buy all shares at a go.

etc.etc. I love SK!
