yeeees. lets go. a 1:2 bonus would be Heaven sent. this company needs more shares.
if I was sanlam, issue a bonus mop up the weak hands...increase shareholding

True @aguytrying,easiest way for them to get more shares is to issue bonus and buy off potential sellers who shall be many at that time

165,600 shares available for sale at ksh 95!! Thats a super exit, quite possibly a super entry price for Sanlam.

Lets see if the trade goes through. That's the single largest tranche of Pan Africa available thus far this year.

Of note, already 120k shares have traded today, quite a busy day for this elephant.

100K shares have moved today at an average price of ksh 100....investors are taking position as results are due to be released;we are set for a serious bull run on this counter,a la carbacid.

interesting how this counter moves 150k shares at 100 bob for most of the morning then at the last hour of trading 100 shares move at 94.5....but the VWAP is 99.50 so thats a positive movement for the day.

It keeps testing ksh 100 but so far hasn't been able to break past ksh 101 which was the highest trade last November.in the words of one @hisah,a break out is imminent.

When are the FY13 results expected?
If you don't want to go to plan B have a good plan A.

FY 2009 - 08/03/2010
FY 2010 - 16/03/2011
FY 2011 - 21/02/2012
FY 2012 - 21/02/2013

If i we are to use probability on the above data i would suggest anyday from 21/02/2014 (a friday) to 14/03/2014 (a friday).

But if the CEO were to ask me as a shareholder i would release it on 25/02/2014 (a tuesday) so that the price rallies on positions taken the monday prior to release and all the way to friday.Add a bonus issue to the results and we have a two week bull run.

Only issue i have is the company has a tendency of closing books mid-May;that lag tends to result in a slight price dip due to other enticing dividend counters then another rally just before the books close.
