@rankaz, Congo has a devolved system, with Provincces headed by governers. Corruption means the national wealth is taken by a few. But the chinese are somewhat changing the game, with infrastructure which benefits all, while the white man whines n grinds about human rights n useless democracy. TULIA.........UFUNZWE!

True, and thanks for the clarification. Ubaya wa ching chong ni kitu kimoja tu: just can't leave the elephants and rhinos alone. It's like the mere thought of ivory is orgazmic AlJazeera has had these features on DRC that I've really enjoyed, including this one going on right now. Such a beautiful country I must concede. Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

I wonder why no African leader has the gutts to speak out about th useless job that the UN is doing in DRC and CAR. "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. I think it's mainly because, much as there's outside interference, a lot of these countries' problems have their roots in governance issues. And as the saying goes, those who live in glass houses... The natural resources they have should be used to develop whole of Africa. What is the point of Africa producing expensive electricity whereas river Congo can manage to light up whole of Africa? Congo will remain hungry/poor until someone bold enough decides to act.

AU is too busy keeping members out of court/jail. Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming

DRC gets invitation to join Afreximbank The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mr. Joseph Kabila, on 4 February in Kinshasa, received President Jean-Louis Ekra of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), who paid him a courtesy visit as part of the Bank’s campaign to sensitise African governments about its role and its activities in support of African trade and integration. Mr. Ekra used the opportunity of the visit to formally invite the Democratic Republic of Congo to join Afreximbank as Member State. Currently, 35 African countries are Member States of the Bank. http://afreximbank.com/a...Ctotakeupmembership.aspx
