Ababu Namwamba has proven himself for the many years he has been in parliament and even as Minister under coalition govt. I have watched him on many occasions on TV passionately advancing the party agenda and his brilliance and eloquence is indisputable. It is unbelievable that RAO now wants some little known Zani as ODM Secretary General and not Namwamba. Politics is about popularity and numbers.

Who, as Secretary General, would articulate and defend ODM policies better.....Ababu or Zani? For heavens sake Ababu Namwamba was the only ODM MP to swear allegiance to 'President Raila Amolo Odinga' in parliament after the 'stolen' 2007 election. That just proves how loyal he is as per the ODMometer/Railometer!

Ababu also gives hope to the youth that they also can occupy senior party positions. I can't believe that RAO wants to shunt such a political star from high level ODM politics.

The only person that the ODM can entrust it's future to is the Hon. Pius Ababu Namwamba. Putting the party's future on some untested amateur hands, a person who is in the wazua equivalent rank of 'Hello', will lead to it's certain death.

ODM should be looking at the long term good of the party, the post Raila era, and this is the time to put the right people in the right positions. I agree with Ongoro who shed tears after seeing how Baba is being misadviced.

Haiya!! There is no such thing as post Raila era, ODM. Raila is ODM and ODM is Raila. When Raila ceases to be, so shall ODM.
