Australia is no walkover. They're currently ranked higher than us.

We are out of the Main Cup. Our performance below par. Cant believe its the same team that made it to semis thrice and cup final once last season

At least we have beaten Tonga 40-7. On to Bowl quarters

There was some improvement in the team overall. Only issue I think Treu needs to work on is confidence in defence.

I am also yet to understand his player selection criteria. Why the hell was Oscar "Wheels to burn" Ouma starting off the bench? Why play Injera as scrum-half yet his impact is best felt on the wings?

Treu's problem is that the Kenya team has only 1 credible kicker in Biko. Playing Injera as scrum-half does 2 things the 1st is losing Injera's speed and the 2nd is gaining Biko's lack of creativity. When we played Tonga, Biko played at scrum-half and his passing strength was obvious. #someonetellTreu

Someone once said mkia ni nyama. So bowl it is.

Point of observation. Has anyone noted that we always lose matches officiated by South African IRB referee Marius van der Westhuizen? Initially I thought he was racist until he officiated the England vs New Zealand semi-final. What a disaster!

Turns out the guy is a Nazi; a RULES Nazi! He needs to let some things slide so the game can be enjoyable to the fans which translates into $$$πŸ˜”

And during that time, I said that Australia was targetting the Olympics. Its taking shape! Australia WILL WIN THE OLYMPIC 7s Medal!! <--- tutarudi hapa 2016.
Why? Coz they built a team from scratch! when Mitch Ochola tried that people called him names sasa we reuse old players can I ask? Why is Biko still on that team? there is no way that team can perform this year and next year! we need to rebuild! forget this year and next year (we just need to ensure we are in top 10). Build a team for the olympics!

@Masukuma

When Mitch Ocholla was coach Kenya performed so poorly that they received a warning letter from IRB stating that their status a core IRB member would be reviewed if they did not shape up. In fact they are probably the reason IRB introduced a system of qualification for core status.

The IRB sevens is not a platform for rebuilding. If Kenya wants to rebuild then they should use lesser sevens tournaments like the Rome sevens, Twickenham sevens, Safari sevens and so forth to develop younger players.

I do not see any reason why they must risk being demoted by trying to rebuild with the IRB sevens.

The current performance just goes to show that the correct coach makes a big difference. When Friday came in , the performance rose significantly. Now with Treu, the performance has plumetted. Yet the players are the same. Treu may have been a good coach for SA but this is a different system.

I

f you understand 7's and for that matter have been watching sevens for some years, you will realize besides tietjens, Treu is the next legendary 7's coach. Treu is not a fool to have picked Kenya. He had the English job before it was offered to Simon Amor. Infact Friday was second to Treu in interviews. What Treu is trying to do is build the team around our natural strengths and that is why natural rugby addicts can identify with him. You will not hear any noise from the rugby purists yet even at the height of Friday's helm, there was loads of noise from purists.

look Treu is no David Moyes of Man U, give him a few more tournaments and we may just win Rio's Gold. Watch the team at the tail end of the season when we struggle. Mind you we are already now consistently winning the Baulo! With Friday we could never tell what was going happen. We could one day be in the semis another in the quarters and another in schield.
