Ngoja tu.... You and @obiero will be swallowing these words soon enough! Does this look like kq??

Trust the guru!!

its not fair to compare an apple to faeces as that borders on insanity. KQ is a solid internationally respected firm that is set to announce a PBT of over 1B. KQ had a rough past but the past is just the past! Home Afrika on the other hand do not even have a brand, im sure the logo is known to less than 100 people. Even just the goodwill of KQ is ten times the market value of Home Afrika, which in my view is a briefcase company

Let me tell you one thing about airlines.I've worked in them for a long time, they are great places to work, but never good to invest your money.Just ask Warren Buffet about his US Airways investment.....

The question still remains... Which of the two will perform better in 2014 and in 5years??

I doubt it will be kq! smile

IMHO... both KQ & HAFR are speculative at the moment.

KQ under Naikuni has a history of failure. Kshs 11.40 was yesterday's price which is a massive loss for all who bought KQ in 1996, 2003 or 2012 during the Rights.

HAFR is a firm I have put in the same (uninvestable) pile as Merali's firms.

my list of the terrible twenty at nse has already been shared here.. surely no one should even try to convince hafr as an investment. im not saying the briefcase company cannot rally, but incase that happens it shall be fueled by bio gas not fundamentals

@Obiero thank you for your offer to educate me on matters investing and make richer.

For HAFR this is what i mean... HAFR has pieces of land that it develops and sells. If the value of the land (revalued) and that of the company are nearly proximate PB=1, NAV per share =1 then i can consider buying.

On the other hand the airline business is so volatile. Only god knows.

Now please educate me on Fannie Mae.

@sparkly unlike hfck which now controls the end to end process in mortgages through its building society and more importantly the recovery of funds; hafr sells ideas and lofty imaginations like Migaa which may or may not come to ground finance.fortune.cnn.com/2013/08/08/fannie-freddie-mortgages/

Are you sure about that? HAFR sells plots and houses. Where you get financing from is your own problem.
