@kari - Then you are doing very well if it's self taught. I can provide some tuition on grammar though going by your translation I may be the one to learn a word or two from you smile

@kari seems you love thinking a lot about 'gucandana na gucandwo'! more than men perhaps? - refer to your thread on that earlier in the year.

Asi!

You people are still praying before (or is it for) sex?

When do you ever get to do it?

That is a whole weekend gone and you are still praying?

@Carygoh

I think there is an 'n' before. I am not an expert though,but try 'muguda' and 'mugunda' and you will get it.

Carygoh see the Kikuyu alphabet below.. It does not have the consonant 'd' (Firefox cant pick some of these signs - where you are seeing '?' - go to the links given)

'Dí mùmeba' is the spoken version,'Ndí mùmemba' the written one.

You need a kuk lesson.

You should pronounce 'ba' the way you do for 'baba' (Father),and 'mb' as for mbembe(maize)

in lower primary,even English was 'taught' in kikuyu .

There were those spelling and word formation classes where we would read out the letters loudly,'b na a,fa ; na b na a fa,baba (fafa)

Then there were those words with (') like (Ng'a) and (ng'o)... what did u guys used to call the (')? we used to call it gathurung'a. ama it only happened in my school?

'eni na nji na gathurung'a na a,Ng'a!
