Truth be told, I think Transport (Eng. Kamau) is the only unit of the Jubilee govt that is working proactively.

He has to....how else does he keep our minds away from "Radisson Blue" Think

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

How will they enforce the 2minute kwa stage and 20 minutes kwa terminus rule .

Zero chance of success as long as public transport is managed by private investors. An Urban Transport student will tell you that all successful mass transport systems are loss making and heavily supported (subsidized) by the council authorities.

I know MOA will call a strike but if he sticks to his guns it will work.

Its now up to Kidero to show us what he is made of and enforce.

If Michuki was alive he would enforce it.

Designated routes mirror those used in the 1980s when there was scheduled public transport before the system collapsed, leading to the chaos that reigns today.

Transport Principal Secretary Nduva Muli yesterday said licences would be renewed on the basis of new routes designed to decongest the Nairobi central business district and ease the movement of vehicles between suburbs.

I hope this helps...the problem according to me (am no expert in this matters) is that too many cars getting into town...even with the expansion of roads like the Thika super highway,Langata road,Ngong road soon to come and outering road the problem of jams will still be there if we dont sort the issue of all cars getting into CBD,do we need a golf course in town?why not get rid of that railway golf course build multi level storey parking with excellent security and a tram network that gets peeps into town,if you want to get into CBD we have the timed parkings that are pricey...
