Founders of Home Afrika have cut their stake by 6.1 per cent in the real estate developer, less than three months after listing at the Nairobi bourse.

Liar Liar Liar And they would have sold more if they had been allowed or if there were buyers. Not my cup of tea at this price.

When is the FY announcement again? Something tells me this counter will rally on results announcement.

1) Are you buying at current prices? 2) Are you selling at current prices?

The share can easily rally!I did 10% on the last rally within 5 trading sessions.

But i noted serious offloading of the shares by the existing shareholder.Remember on the first rally, the share rose from 6 to a high of 9,then back to 6,the second rally from 5.95 to a high of 7.30 and back to 6.x(it had a low of 6.0 on good volumes yesterday).

It means that a rally is always an opportunity for some guys to offload at any good price and good volumes above 6 and this means the next rally will see even a lower high not unless the weakling shareholders are shaken out!

Refer to Hisah detailed analysis on the same in this thread

@sparkly, given their ambition, imagine if news hit the market that HomeAfrika had launched major real estate projects in key African capitals?..How would investors react?..

@ecstacy - I've been bearish this counter since 1st day of listing and my opinion still remains the same.

Just to guide you on the price behaviour on this counter. The price spiked to 25/- on listing day and crashed to 6/- on excessive overselling. A bounce was bound to happen. When it did as price rallied towards 9/- vol spikes popped up. Price slid again after those spikes to another all time low of 5.40. Price has bounced again since that low with vol spikes towards 7 where the rebound peaked. The price is now back testing 6/- with a low of 5.60 today.

Not bullish at all this pattern although TA shows the price is still oversold. Caution...

What is this obsession with a dead stock! This thing is headed NO WHERE good. Speculation may push the share price up, the stock is SHIT.

I'd rather buy Mumias than HomeAfrika at anytime.

its not fair to compare an apple to faeces as that borders on insanity. KQ is a solid internationally respected firm that is set to announce a PBT of over 1B. KQ had a rough past but the past is just the past! Home Afrika on the other hand do not even have a brand, im sure the logo is known to less than 100 people. Even just the goodwill of KQ is ten times the market value of Home Afrika, which in my view is a briefcase company

I don't have a problem with swallowing my words even if its today, 1st Feb 2014; but let it be because of strong fundamentals and not due to share price hyping/manipulation/speculation or cooking books or even by revaluation of assets (land in particular) to lie about their true value.

Come on, according to their plans, this fellows intend to sell KES1M apartments in Machakos (+60km from Nairobi, Kikwetu Project). Ask Kisaju! Ati 80,000 houses in total, 20,000 in 5 years. Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly.

For Migaa, the latest Hass Report indicated that the high end houses are facing 'some' challenges and their prices are tanking.

For the Kisumu project, LakeView Heights, i don't know the area, maybe someone can advice on its progess and viability.

So as to sustain their daily operations, this fellows seem to have changed their tactics, they are selling plots at Ruai Kantafu (ati they call them the smart plots ????), 21km from the Eastern By-Pass along Kangundo Road for 350,000/-. Just hoping they sell enough to pump up the FY books, just hoping.

I also read somewhere that they intend to start a construction company, so as to contain their costs. OK.
