Television in Kenya has a real problem. The minds that control it are so small that you could put them in the navel of a flea and still have enough room. low quality programmes, lack of content, zero humour, shallow advertising just to name a few. Imagine TPF3,OMO and ARIEL advertisement,Ramanyan on KTN just to name a few. Way forward??

lets meet at the hague
Lets not be vague, we go to hague

you should listen to the sickening crap they yap about on the radio in very fake accents. But since you asked about the tv,here's my take. Kenyans are mediocre people and that's why we get mediocre services from the media. by screening cheap mexican soaps dumped from the west,tv executives actually think they are doing you morons a favour. these cheap soaps and other programmes like 'america got talent 'should be screened during the day for bored housewives and not prime time. only in kenya is a politician who talks crap treated as headlines while a bus accident that has killed 27 innocent passangers treated as nothing. an american ambassador waxing lyrical is headline news but if our kenyan ambassador called a press briefing in washington,no one would turn up. so why do we give this chatterbox prominence to lecture our elected leaders if not due to our inferiority complex? we africans need to wise up. and where is the cck when nude rap videos are screened during the day on local channels without any sense of shame? our kids watch that madness that degrades women yet we 'act' shocked when they grow up to be rapist thugs. but of course not all shows are bad, kudos to jeff for the 'capital talk' on k24 and some educative/entertaining homegrown shows that are eventually mushrooming all over. still,we have a long way to go before we can be truely proud of our tv.

my 2 cents worth
